Greenville Fire-Rescue participates in the North Texas Home Fire Campaign in conjunction with the American Red Cross for the Smoke Alarms and can be installed for residents regardless of home location (city or county.

The Home Fire Campaign helps save lives by installing free smoke alarms in homes that don't have them, and by educating people about home fire safety.

If you cannot afford to purchase smoke alarms or are physically unable to install a smoke alarm, we can help. if you have questions, please contact us at 903-457-2940.

NOTE: Smoke alarms can only be installed in home residences. Landlords for rental properties are typically responsible for ensuring that working smoke alarms are in homes before they are rented. Apartments are also required to have working smoke alarms in place.

Greenville FD also provides a Knox Box to residents who have experienced falls and live alone. This is free of charge and allows firefighters to enter the home through a secured process where we do not have to cause damage to your home to make entry. (Think realtor boxes).
